Open Calls Space

Welcome to the Transport Systems Catapult’s Open Calls space. We are always looking for new ways to work with the UK’s thriving Transport Industry, which is why we put out Calls for you to connect with us and to publicise collaboration opportunities. We also list interesting opportunities here from outside the TSC, which are relevant to businesses operating in or looking to enter the transport sector.

Whether it’s big data, customer experience improvements, autonomous vehicles, transport modelling or visualisation that you are passionate about, the chances are that you’ll meet similarly passionate people at the Transport Systems Catapult.

If you are passionate about transport and want to work with us, then please get in touch.

Making the case for a data sharing regime in transport

The TSC is looking for a partner to help make the case for UK government intervention in creating a suitable and secure data sharing regime in the transport sector.

The Intelligent Mobility market is expected to grow to just over £900bn a year by 2025. Fundamental to this market is the sharing and exchange of data. The TSC and its partner will deliver a high-impact white paper and a lobbying campaign plan to raise the profile of this issue.

Many governments are pursuing Open Data initiatives, with one of the key policy drivers being around economic growth and business innovation. There is a growing body of evidence to support the view that Open Data has a massive economic potential. Leading governments have also recognised that their role is not simply to publish data – they are supporting the whole value chain of the use of data.

Station Innovation

We are embarking on an exciting 18 month project in collaboration with the Department for Transport to pilot new technologies, operational measures and solutions in railway stations that aim to increase passenger flow and customer experience.
