John serves as Head of Public Transit at Mosio, a San Francisco based ground transportation aggregation company building the world’s first truly multimodal urban mobility platform. Today, Mosio works with over 3,000 ground transportation providers around the world and has forged distribution partnerships with leading online travel agents and corporate travel management companies. John facilitates the integration of public transit ticketing into Mosio’s distribution network and larger transit ecosystem, helping public transit agencies become more profitable and sustainable by attracting untapped customer segments – the tourists, businesspersons, and non-commuters who are open to taking public transit but forego their use due to high barriers to participation.
Prior to Mosio, John served as a research associate at the Urban Institute. He co-authored “What if Cities Could Create a Truly Inclusive Local Sharing Economy,” and has researched inclusive growth, economic development, and transportation and housing policy in cities. Before urban, he worked for Simon-Kucher & Partners, a German-based consultancy specializing in business strategy and pricing excellence. John studied Public Policy at Duke University and resides in Washington D.C.
