Steve Yianni chairs key session at LCV 2013

Steve Yianni, the Transport Systems Catapult CEO, chaired a key session on Intelligent Mobility at the recent two-day Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) 2013. This Cenex event held at Millbrook Proving Ground set a new record for attendance at with over 1900 delegates and 150 exhibitors.

The session provided the attendees an overview of the opportunities associated with the Intelligent Mobility and commenced with an overview of Intelligent Transport Systems and an introduction to the work of the Transport Systems Catapult. This was followed by Theo Quick of CGI sharing an overview of the Intelligent Mobility Technology Roadmap developed by the Automotive Council Technology Group.  Professor John Miles presented the LUTZ (Low Emission Urban Transport Zone) project that has been scoped as a means of demonstrating the opportunities offered by linking low carbon vehicles and intelligent transport solutions. Mike Bell of Jaguar Land Rover concluded the session with a car company perspective on intelligent mobility technologies.
