The Transport Systems Catapult held its launch event last week at the London Transport Museum amongst distinguished guests and industry friends.
Will Whitehorn opened the evening and introduced the Rt Hon David Willetts MP who gave a keynote address stressing the governments commitment to the Innovation agenda in general and the Catapult Programme in particular.
Steve Yianni CEO then showed for the first time the new corporate video and followed this by giving a vote of thanks to all the government, industry and academia who have given their time and support to the Transport Systems Catapult during its gestation period, many of whom were at the event.
Philip Rutnam, Permanent Secretary at the Department for Transport, also leant his support and endorsed the DfT’s commitment to working with the Catapult to embed innovation accross the department’s portfolio.
Mark Ruddy, Chief Operating Officer, then closed the formal part of the evening with a quick description of the Catapult vision and some of the major projects that the Catapult is already involved in.
