We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our 4th annual Imagine Conference and Exhibition on the 7th and 8th of June at our Transport Innovation Centre in Milton Keynes.
The Imagine Conference is a unique free event bringing together leading minds from UK industry, research and government to uncover the future of transportation through the concept of ‘Intelligent Mobility’. Festival visitors can expect to learn about the impact of the latest technologies on the sector as well as exploring new business models and emerging ways of planning and managing the movement of people and goods.
This year’s event will be hosted by the Jason Bradbury. Jason is the host of The Gadget Show US & The Gadget Show UK. He has worked as a TV presenter and producer on hundreds of shows in a career spanning almost twenty years. When it comes to gadgets, science and all things tech, Jason is a force of nature and his charismatic personality will bring the conference to life.
Areas being explored at this year’s conference include hot topics like Mobility as a Service and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, drones and Virtual Reality but we will also look beyond towards planning and modelling, regulation and human centered design. We will also look at key drivers for Intelligent Mobility and look at the hurdles the UK will need to overcome if it is to be a world leader in this rapidly emerging field.
Transport Systems Catapult COO Mark Ruddy explained:
“The Imagine conference is about bringing together a wide spectrum of transport industry professionals to create a roadmap to the future. It’s about taking a fresh look at the issues facing the UK transport market, and the traditional ways in which they are addressed, and asking: Is there a better way? By bringing people together in this way we aim to create a shared vision for the transport industry which improves transport for millions of people and maximises the benefits of new transport technologies for the UK economy.
Put simply, the Imagine Conference is the place to be if you want to know what’s coming next in the world of transport.”
The event will be held at the Transport Systems Catapult’s world class Innovation Centre in Milton Keynes. The facility has been specifically designed to develop smarter ways of moving people and goods, and features cutting edge IT infrastructure, simulation and modelling rooms, unique technology assets and collaborative spaces which help nurture new and innovative ideas.
Anyone with an interest in technology and innovation; including SME’s entrepreneurs, innovators, technologists, business leaders, academics and policy makers is encouraged to attend.
