4 hours Door to Door by 2050 – achievable?

TSC is delighted to sponsor the Royal Aeronautical Society’s ‘4 hours Door to Door by 2050 – achievable?’ conference.

The conference will feature Neil Planzer, Vice President Airplane Solutions and Air Traffic Management  at Boeing Commercial Services, plus many other high level industry experts such as Transport Systems Catapult Chairman Will Whitehorn, Andrew Price from the Department of Transport and Margus Rahaja from the European Commission.

The Flightpath 2050 Report – European Vision for Aviation stated as the second goal  that 90% of travellers within Europe will be able to complete their journey, door-to-door within 4 hours. This will include passengers and freight being able to transfer seamlessly between transport modes to reach the final destination smoothly, predictably and on-time.

This conference will take a practical look at this challenge and assess its feasibility by bringing together two important communities – the civil aviation industry and the surface transport industry with intelligent mobility.  It will also explore the role of innovation and emerging technology in achieving this challenge.
