Israel is a key potential strategic partner for the UK. Israel, often referred to as the Startup Nation, is home to approximately 300 companies offering solutions to the transport sector. The strengths of Israel’s tech industry play well into the fast-growing intelligent mobility sector, including big data analytics, machine vision, and cybersecurity. Further, both governments have identified this field as a high priority area for public focus to make transport greener, safer, and as an engine of economic growth.
The UK Israel Tech Hub is a not-for-profit venture operating out of the British Embassy Israel since 2011. The Hub was founded by the UK government as a means to drive economic growth by helping British companies partner with cutting-edge technology from Israel.
The 3-day programme will consist of innovation sessions hosted by potential UK partners, including: Jaguar Land Rover, Transport for London (TFL), Transport Catapult, VISA Collab, and a high profile roundtable at 10 Downing Street to discuss ways of strategically promoting cooperation in this thriving sector.
