We’ve been collating data from over 200 resources and all modes of transport, and we’re looking for the brightest minds to develop this data into the Transport solutions of tomorrow.
IMCreate 2015 will be the world’s first Intelligent Mobility focused hackathon. The event will be held over Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2015 with the objective of actively developing solutions that address critical transport challenges.
If you are studying or researching coding, business, art or design and think you have the skills to come up with the next big idea in transport, come and put your skills to work in helping us to build the transport network of the future.
We’re also looking for teams from business and academia from countries outside of the UK to take part simultaneously in our event. Special prizes for best international idea will be on offer!
IMCreate 2015 will start in London with the challenges described along with the exclusive data sets, cutting edge hardware, software and cloud storage space available. Teams will develop their ideas while travelling around on many forms of transport, ending with the train from Euston to Milton Keynes. The event will then continue at Transport Systems Catapult with the hackers enjoying our open facilities and corporate hospitality.
At the end of the Hackathon a panel of experts will decide the three best ideas and these teams will go on to a showcase event which will take place during the evening of Wed 2nd December in London.
These teams will develop their ideas further including market analysis, business models, and marketing strategy and pitch at the event. A panel made up of leaders from industry and academia will then choose an overall winner.
Prizes for the best idea include free places on SetSquared’s technology incubator entrepreneurship course and time with transport challenge owners. This will enable development of the team’s solution and business model, potentially leading to a creation of a new business. Added to this there is also an internship at Tech Mahindra up for grabs!
Teams will be made up of computer programmers, business experts, artists and designers – so if you think you have the skills to make a difference in Transport this is the event for you!
You can apply as a full team of five or as individual. To apply applicants are encouraged to send a 30 second selfie video or text to avatar video on your phone explaining why you or your team should be part of IMCreate. If this is not possible you can also send your written profile to email@example.com.
Team applications are asked to include three computer programmers, one business expert and one art or design related expert where possible.
The winners will be announced at a showcase event in London on the 2nd December.
