Transport Systems Catapult is keen to improve its understanding of the processes used by UK local authorities for making initial assessments of the impact of implementing new transport concepts – especially those that are innovative and take a radical approach to solving long-term or difficult transport challenges.
We’re looking to develop a unique, generic, and high-level assessment tool that can be quickly used to evaluate new concepts before detailed modelling is carried out.
We are keen to hear from local authorities, their consultants and other interested parties about new transport ideas being considered, or ideas they have heard about, and how these would be evaluated.
The expertise that is contributed will help us to shape the development of an assessment tool we intend to offer to local authorities, consultants and other partners to enable better, quicker, more robust investment decisions for solving transport planning problems.
We would very much like to gather your views so we can survey a broad set of practitioners within our sector, so please complete our short online survey linked here.
If you have any questions about our work, or this survey, please contact either Danny Dicks at Innovation Observatory (the company helping us with this research), on 01480 309341, or Heidi Radcliffe at Transport Systems Catapult.
We look forward to hearing from you.
