Neil Ridley – Transport Systems Catapult’s Chief Business Development Officer – will be talking tomorrow from the viewpoint of the man on the Clapham omnibus at THE ISSUE Conference 2014: Sustainable Transport Technologies – Collaboration for Innovation.
That view – the frazzled commuters’ – is currently likely to be from a standing position and the title of Neil’s presentation reflects that – “The Clapham Omnibus is Full……… Challenges to our Transport System”.
Some believe that the transporst system has hit full capacity, but rather than build new infrastrucutre to meet growing demands, there is a view that innovation and integration across the modes can release significant latent capacity.
Taking place on the 11 and 12 February 2014 at the Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough. This free two day conference will bring together delegates and exhibitors from across the UK and Europe to network and explore ways of bridging the gap between local and regional policy priorities and technological innovation.
The event will provide an overview of the different funding opportunities available in the transport sector. Up-to-date information will be presented on the Government Innovation Strategy, Horizon 2020, Technology Strategy Board, Knowledge Transfer Partnership and other funding opportunities.
